The pass is good for a year and is a great way to save some money on entertainment. My boys are going to be getting these as an Easter present this year and they are going to be thrilled to death. After discovering Laser Tag last year, this pass was high up on their wish list.

Chili’s runs a Kids Eat Free promotions every once in a while and this is one of my favorite restaurant deals. You can get up to 2 free kids meal with each entree purchase so it’s a great deal if you have multiple kids.

Last time they ran this promotion we fed our family of 5 for under $20 which is, sadly, cheaper than fast food for us. It was a nice break in our homeschooling day and since there were no crowds there in the middle of the day, my kids took advantage of the time waiting for their food to get some work done.

This promotion runs from March 26-28. We have a field trip planned during that time so versus rushing to get lunch before we leave or grabbing fast food on the way, we’ll probably swing by a Chili’s to grab some lunch.

My kids are a bit fanatical about birds so there are few places they enjoy in Utah more than the Tracy Aviary. On Saturday, March 24, 2012 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm they are celebrating spring with their Spring Wing Fling.

The weather should be nice so this would be a great way to get out and enjoy the fresh air after what feels like a very long winter. Activities will include face painting, music classes with Imagination Place, a duckling craft and cotton candy.

Don’t forget that this Wednesday is the last day to get into the Tracy Aviary for only $1 for Winter Wednesdays.

My kids love the playground at the Provo Beach Resort (we’ve actually held 2 birthday parties there so far) and my oldest son has been seriously eyeing the ropes course. He’s working up to it, but in the meantime, you may as well take advantage of a great deal.

On Fridays from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm you can go on the ropes course at the Provo Beach Resort for half price. That’s only $4 a person!

School-aged kids may be out of luck with that time frame (although you can always stop by during Spring Break). We homeschool so I’m sure we’ll be taking advantage of this deal and beating the crowds.

We love Papa Murphy’s at our house. It’s not quite as greasy as some of the other pizza places so it’s usually what we go for on pizza night. Papa Murphy’s is having a great deal for St. Patrick’s Day. On March 17th, you can get a large pepperoni pizza for only $5. If you want to add in some dessert, you can get a S’mores dessert pizza for only $3 more.

This deal is good at participating locations only. I picked up a flyer at the Orem location so I know that they’ll be participating for sure.

The Grand America has a great event for children going on tomorrow. Mark and Caralyn Buehner, the writer/illustrator team behind Fanny’s Dream and other well-known children’s novels will be sharing stories with the children, demonstrating illustration techniques, and showing a few pieces of original artwork.

This event if free to attend and will be held at The Grand America hotel on February 25th at 12:00 pm.

I’m cheap when it comes to eating out with my kids — mostly because all they ever want to order is cheese pizza or Kraft Mac and Cheese and I can easily make both of those for them at home. We’ll often have our kids share one adult portion meal so they get a bit more variety and it saves money when you are ordering 3 kids meals.

I love when restaurants offer a kids eat free deal though because I enjoy my own meal without stressing out that my kids aren’t eating theirs and they love the treat of each choosing their own dish.

Chili’s is having a Kids Eat Free promotion on February 21 and 22. The best part is, you can get up to 2 free kids meals for each adult entree ordered.

I keep meaning to take my boys to the free workshops offered by Home Depot. This Saturday, they are doing a Valentine’s Day themed project that is perfect if you want to use it as a homemade gift for parents or grandparents.

The Free Home Depot workshops are geared towards kids ages 5-12 and are offered the first Saturday of every month at all locations. Kids get to keep their craft and a FREE Kids Workshop Apron, commemorative pin and certificate of achievement.

If you have a cub scout in your house, these free workshops are a great way to check off the Wolf requirement 5e without having to make the trek to the scout store and fork out the cash for a birdhouse kit.
